To add to Jonas' response to your request for elaboration: about thirty years ago, when I owned a Mini (old style of course -- is there any other?), I noticed an optional extra was a heater for the engine block, aimed at the Scandinavian market (although it might work as well in other places with cold winters <g>). The idea seems to have been around a longish time. -- Andrew Stephenson
