Salvage Effort The Dutch salvage company Smit begins work to recover the Tricolor, a Norwegian car carrier that sank last December in the North Sea with over 2,500 luxury cars on board destined for the United States. Smit is the company that raised the sunken Russian submarine Kursk and is considered by many the best in its business.
