Thinking about your problem I remember a similar problem on my old 900 (no changes but high speed and no possibility to control). If you remove the glove compartment you will find on the left side - relatively high mounted - a small black box (appr. 7 x 5 x 2 cm as far as I remember). It is a little tricky to reach and dismount it. That¥s the blower control unit. If it becomes too hot (i.e. in wintertime - no kidding -, a lot of snow on the car with the engine running and the system does not get enough air) it is gone quit fast. In 1999 the price was about ? 35. What is happening if you take the speed into manual control? Does the phenomenon happen then, too? Dieter
