I thought my spark plug wires were absolutely perfect too, but - as soon as I replaced the lot, the problem disappeared. Borrow a set from someone, and test. Alternative is to buy one wire (corresponding to the longest one of course), and swap out one at a time. The "S" sounds like a North American variant. What ignition system? /Robert
