Turbos take a very long time to cool down :) At least 30 seconds should do the trick - pull up, put the handbrake on, put the car into park or neutral (stick shifter), put up the windows, turn off the stereo, put on the steering lock, etc. That should be about right. What you're doing here is allowing the turbo to spin down while oil is still being pumped by the idling engine.
