Two thoughts on first year of new model: 1. There are design change issues 2. These bugs were fixed by the previous owners in the 9 years since 1994. Take it to a trusted Saab technician for a pre-purchase inspection and get an objective assessment. There were changes which you may consider important. The Classic had no lip on the trunk, which meant you could 'slide' heavy objects in and out of the truck. The NG has a big lip, makes for a stronger design, but you have to 'lift' heavy objects in and out of the trunk. This is no problem if you have a good back. The 'backwards' engine layout of the Classic has been given credit for its handling in the snow - which is not an issue if you don't drive in the snow. The big, curved windshield of the Classic provide great visibility. Drive the 1994 model and see if you notice the differences. meld_b wrote: > I'm a SAAB guy wanting to come back...
