Hi Spyderman I am currently driving an NG900 2L (non-turbo) but my previous Saab was a 90/99 (can never remember which) from about twenty years ago. I drove that car until its suspension fatally came up through the rear wheel arches and into the boot (trunk, sorry I'm a Brit!). When I was taking the car to a scrap yard, I cut too soon driving out my gate and took half of a brick gate pillar with me. Even on their last legs Saabs are still mean machines and a force to be reckoned with. I take it you and your wife were not badly hurt in the accident. It is, however, still a right shock when your are struck by another vehicle.
