Subject: Oil Smell after Steering Rack Change

We've just had the steering rack changed on our GM900. We only had it changed because it was leaking fluid. Since the change the car smells oily. Its worse in stationary or slow traffic, and better on the Motorway with Re-circ on. But after a long journey in town you feel really quite sick! Any one come across this before and know a likely culprit? There was quite a lot of spilled oil on the back of the engine after the job was done, which I mopped up, and I was hoping that with time and use the smell would 'burn off', but it hasn't. I'm hoping the Steering fluid hasn't got into the airconditioning somehow. Dranz
