"Almost everyone" is not an accurate description of the population affected by this problem. > How about class action everyone > who has a problem with the CID? How about you go learn that this has already been dealt with, and nicely ask your dealer to take care of it (even if the car is past the warranty period)? If you approach them rationally (in other words, not spouting "Class action lawsuit" when you do so), there's a good chance they'll take care of it for you. Make it easy for them to want to help you, especially if it's out of warranty and they have no obligation to do so. Saab paid for a new tranny for my 900, when the one in the car blew up. It was 30,000 miles out of warranty at the time, but they took care of it as a goodwill gesture (hell of a gesture...). If you come at this with the approach of "I'll never buy another Saab because of this", their incentive to make you happy is zero. Dave Hinz
