Had to pick the cat up at the vets yesterday afternoon, put him into the car, climbed in, hit the key, the engine turned over but no start. All lights indicated everything was hunky-dory, no check engine light, everything appeared normal. It would occasionally hit a lick like it wanted to fire but then nothing. When I popped the hood there was a strong phonelic (sp) smell (hot electronics?), it acted like there was no fuel delivery. To that point everything was normal, just finished driving it 40 miles without a miss. At 41k miles I just called Road Side Assistance, they had a truck there in 45 minutes. The significant other gave us a ride home, the car went to the Saab garage for a fix-em-up, it will be Monday before anyone can touch it. In the mean time I'm wondering if anyone else out there in Saabland has experienced a similar malady. Needless to say the cat wasn't too happy about the delay, the splint on his leg didn't help matters either. Please, no cat jokes, he's sensitive. -- Steve Sharp nospam-stevensharp25nopsamast.net N35 59.72 W083 59 37
