You have the right location. > > Thanks, Bob On Tue, 14 Oct 2003 17:04:53 +0200 Simon Putz <simon.putznopsamline.de> wrote: now that has to mean that the temperature sender is broken... i am going to check that out right now, does anyone else have some ideas on what to do/check ? fuses seem to be fine too. > Also where exactly is the temp sensor located, i read something about that it is on the right lower side of the radiator, near the place ah THIS right side :) well with cars and screws directions like left and right are relative i guess. the temp sensor is located on the left side of the radiator, looking towards the front of the car. the wiring of mine has broken, of course in the most unreachable place in the whole car, ok 2nd after heater core, so i just couldnt get to that silly connector! ah my saab, shes the only one who i have problems with the size of my big hands with. well, so after 10 minutes of silly wiggling and cursing at the turbo, damn those things can stay hot for a freaking long time, i found out that i can remove this plastic corner panel between the plastic wheel arch and the one behind the spoiler lip. whew what a difference, the connector was off in no time. of course the cables broke right at the end of their length and now its goin to be a bitch to solder them back on, just gotta find the soldering iron now. hope that works out :) oh so thats 2 good news for me, because 1) this is just a cable problem 2) the car is not loosing coolant, it just spilt it at the reservoir tank because it got too hot, i could definately see traces of coolant all under the reservoir. sounds good to me for now ;) update: i just soldered the cables at the connector and spliced them together inside the car cos its night here already, i will replace the whole temperature sensor with a lower temperature one soon anyways, i guess it will come with the connector or atleast with cables.. now everything works fine :) bye simon
