Subject: Did I get the wrong part? (1995 clutch cable)

Hi all, Finally got some money to buy a clutch cable. Called a parts place in the Sacto area and they shipped the product. I got it last night and eagerly went to installing it. Am having a HELL of a time doing it though. And I'm wondering if they sent me a cable for some other year, rather than the 1995 that I have. The cable that came out of the vehicle has this written on it: 4901724L4 2600 The cable that they sent me has this written on it: 449018145094 (the 2nd 1 "might" be an L. Hard to read) Also, is looks like it says Summen, or something like that before the part number, not SAAB, like the first number has on it. When I go to install it, it seems like its about 2-3cm too short. In all honesty, I have never installed a cable before, but I can't believe that I'm screwing it up that much. I got some great instructions from several people on how to do it. So my question is, Did I get shipped the wrong part? If not, then is there anyone on the list in the San Francisco Bay Area who is will to come to Albany and figure out what I did wrong for a couple six packs of microbrew? Frustrated :-) Robert
