        I recently had this problem, as a result of the mechanic disconnecting
the battery when he worked on my car.  The advice above is correct. 
What happened in my case was that I had to take the car back to the shop
(an independent Saab specialist).  They removed the radio, took some
number from it, and got the appropriate code from the local Saab dealer.
