The exhaust manifold has some of the casting where the manifold connects to the exhaust pipe cracked off so one of the two pipes makes a bad seal. I've got the donor C900 now so when I feel really keen I'm going to dismantle enough of the engine in the donor car to extract the exhaust manifolds if I haven't set up a facility to lift whole engines by then (since I don't have a garage, and the carport is likely to collapse in a decent wind if I didn't have some 2 metre sections of 53 kg/m rail (ie. railway track type rail) holding key posts of the carport stable as they've rotten at ground level. 8-) Craig. -- Craig Ian Dewick (craignopsam.apana.org.au). http://nospam/~craig APANA Sydney Regional Co-ordinator.
