Subject: Help! Interior lightning problem: anyone have access to wiring diagrams?

I have '99 9-3 and I have a problem with interior lightning. When dome light switch is in 'door' position, dome lights work as designed. However, dome lights do not work at all in 'on' position of switch. In addition, map/reading lights do not work, not at front nor at rear, and problem expands also to make-up lights on sunvisors on both sides. I have tracked the problem down to wiring in roof: it seems that there is a blue-green wire that should provide constant +12V, which it does not do. This same color coded wire serves all lights mentioned above and very well explains problems I'm struggling with. Dome light switch works all right. Now my problem is that I was not able to track where this blue-green wire comes from. I checked back of fuse box, and wire that starts from there is orange, and cannot be a cause for problems anyway because door position works. Do you have access to wiring diagram, and could you check where this bloody blue-green wire starts from? Could you also check where orange wire behind the fuse box turns into blue-green? Which way wires travel to roof? I assume they go inside drivers side A-pillar, is that right? Do they travel inside the pillar or between pillar and cloth that covers it? If I tear down interior parts on A-pillar, will I be able to see the wiring? Help! Best Regards, Juha
