Adrian, You're right - it is a near total lack of airflow in the footwells. I have the parts catalogue on CD ROM and there's a couple of baffles (flaps) in the heater, connected by a "link". I've seen elsewhere that this broke fairly frequently on early 9000's and there was a service part to fix it. Curiously mine if a very late 9000 and I believe the problem was supposed to be fixed. I'm guessing that if I rip my dash out to get to it, I'll find that's the problem. I think I'll wait for some warmer weather before I start - I'll live with "top heat" 'till then :) D
