I think you might have meant 'repairing' the A/C. If it's leaking you can recharge it using an oil with dye in it. Taking it to an A/C shop should get you a ball park estimate. In the cases I have been involved in you will definite want to take the opportunity to factor in the cost of replacing the dryer, as they don't do well when the system has leaked out, and/or exposed to the normal atmosphere. hth, TBerk
