Subject: 9-5 - HOT SID

While on a multi-hour road trip, I noticed something I hadn't seen before. I realized the central control panel (SID, stereo, ACC, etc) was radiating enough heat that I could feel it 5-6" away. The whole panel was pretty warm, but the SID panel and the ACC display were almost too hot to touch. (And if the plastic surface is that hot, how hot are the electronics inside!?) I had been playing CDs for several hours. I don't often do this and I thought that might have affected it. But I couldn't tell a major difference between running with & without CD playing. Is this a common occurance? Should I be concerned? I only have about 6 months left in my warrantee and I don't want the whole thing to go up in smoke right after the warrantee expires. This is a 2002 9-5 Aero. Gary
