No point in redesigning something that is serving well, just because it was designed a while ago. On a more practical note, it's *expensive* to do so, money which I'd rather Saab puts into building quality than switching stuff around for no good reason. Trivia note: Did you know that the 3-door Saab 900 used the same window latch as the Saab 96 of the 1960's? Same idea there - a latch was needed for rear windows, to hold them open. They have one, and it still holds rear windows open. Why change? Dave Hinz
