Yes, exactly my point. Until the turbo spins up, you have a tiny two liter motor that is designed to use boost to get any real power trying to move a 3500lb car. You go real slow. One the RPM's climb a bit the lag will be gone and the power is there. Then you go like a bat. Don't hit anything :-) With a standard, I can simply rev it up to get past the lag and off I go. With an automatic, you don't have the luxury. Personally I would not buy a turbo-4 with an automatic. You need a motor with some serious "off the line" power reserves. That ain't a Saab 4 in "pre boost" mode.
