Subject: Ping Steve Crowe: 900SE CD Changer prob.

Steve: You seem to be very well versed in radio/CD issues... maybe you can help me out. 1997 900 SE with CD Changer. I have the classic CD Changer "lost" problem. About 20K miles ago (under warranty) I went back to the dealer a few times. Before I was done, the Changer had been replaced twice and the head unit once. I still lost the CD Changer every six months or so. I finally discovered a fix that always worked when it got lost: disconnect the cable at the changer and leave it out overnight. When I hooked it up in the morning, I'd be all set. Over the last few weeks, 20K miles later, it's been losing the Changer every three days or so. The fix still works, but I have to do it way too often. Any "real" fixes for this problem ? Thanks, Bob
