It definitely occurs when idling, but I can usually make it go away by goosing the engine a little bit. It happens while driving as well, it's just not very noticeable, what with the road/wind noise. I'd pick up another compressor, but I don't want to spend the money unless that's what the problem is. What's the best way to tell if your compressor is going pear-shaped? -justinb
