Well, I got the old one out, the new one didn't come with fan or pullies, so I had to use an impact wrench to get the old ones off and mount them on the new alt. Now for those bushings. The new ones are two piece with a metal tube that goes between. As expected, the tube is the same diameter or smaller than the bolt that must go through it. And of course there is about 1-1/2 inches more bolt than there is room to move it, since Saab designed this to be right up against the firewall. Very poor design. Even loosening the allen bolts on the a/c bracket doesn't help much as it adds another problem of how to tighten them back up blind with the alt. in the way. James F.
