Subject: Can 2.5L V6 be replaced with Opal 3.2L V6

Several parts stores now claim to have a new 3.2L Opal engine that supposably is fully compatiable with the 2.5L V6 used in the 94-97 NG900's. They claim that the engine is a direct fit, and since the engine controllers are self learning, there is no problem with the larger engines. Has anyone out there actually installed and used one of these engines in their Saab? It would be good to get away from the timing belt and the oil sludge problems that the 2.5L is noted for, but I'm not sure of the risk involved due to the motor controller. Thanks
