Subject: oil leak

My '99 9-5 SE V6 has an oil leak. It drips about half a quart per 3,000 miles. My mechanic says it's urgent to fix it... maybe because it was dripping on his floor when he replaced the DIC cartridge? Anyhow, his diagnosis is that it's a bad O-ring and that the part is cheap, but he has to remove the turbo to get to it. So, I'll be in this for about 4 hours of labor and a couple of bucks for parts. Questions for the group: Is this a reasonable time to remove/replace the turbo? Is this really urgent? Is the O-ring likely to blow or can I live with this until I put together a bit more cash? Finally, any good ideas how to get the oil stain off my garage floor?
