Sounds like it. Try this: Bring the engine up to temp where the high speed fan starts to run and shut it down. Then pull the connector and measure the continuity of the two temperature switches (need an ohm meter or at least a test light). If the high speed (high temp) switch is closed the low speed should be too. If you decide to replace the switch again, look for one that has lower temperature settings. The SAAB design has the radiator running too hot so that when the thermostat opens it pulls in coolant that is almost the same temperature the engine is. Not very efficient... -Fred W
