It was quite easy to find space in the switch for a little T1 LED and 1/8W resistor. Just make sure you get the polarity right, I used a DMM to check the voltage going to the bulb at the connector to make sure I got it wired the right way around. Doesn't matter for incandescent bulbs, but LED's are polarized. An LED will last the life of the car though.
