I've done this on 89 and 91 900's. should work theoretically on 87-93 ie classic 900 models. Even the voltage differences between 89 and 91alternator did not affect the replacement regulator. ie: voltage regulator from 89 can be used on a 91 even though 91 engine is larger and alternator is of a higher voltage. Anyone else confirm??
