The problem with mine was that the motor was a little off because it only gets to run in very short cycles. I hooked it up and ran it for about five minutes and then it ran great. The trouble I ran into was getting all the gears and levers back in proper sync when reassembling the unit. I couldn't get the exact timing. I thought I had it a couple of times, but something is off as the cycle does not return properly. If you decide to DIY, be very, very careful to note the position of every piece as you disassemble. Maybe you will have more luck than me. Also, the unit is not designed to be opened for repair, but if you stick with it, it will come apart. At worst, you can just replace the unit with one from www.eeuroparts.com for half the dealer parts price and just a few minutes of labor.
