Subject: Headlight wiper motors

Hi, The car is 1997 (9000 LPT). A while back one of the headlight wiper motors went, as the car was going at the dealer's anyway I asked to have it replaced. They never kept the old unit despite having asked them to do so. (the new one cost an arm and a leg). BAsically I had wanted to see inside the motor and see if I could have fixed it (and have it for the next time). Now the other one is gone and on Wednesday the car is going in for a service. Can the wiper motor be repaired? What goes wrong with it? I could get to it (this is on the left side of the car ... looking at it from inside the car, the previous one was on the right). I had got to the previous motor as for some reason I had to have the light out but I could not unhook the wiring loom. Cheers for any thoughts. Charles -- Please remove _removeme_ to reply.
