From AUTOWEEK, July 19, 2004 -------------------------- Saabaru plans 9-6X Saab and Fuji Heavy Industries, parent company of Subaru, have announced plans for a second joint crossover product following on the heels of the Subaru WRX-based Saab 9-2X. What was not announced is that the next vehicle from Saab and Subaru arriving in mid-2005 as an '06 model will likely be based on the seven-seat Subaru XUV and will probably be called the Saab 9-6X, a name General Motors has trademarked for future use in the United States and Canada. -- J.Harris '01 9-3SE '97 900SE '88 9000T (R.I.P.)
