In addition to the panel there should be some control electronics box which handles all interfaces to sensors and actuators. After some more digging I have understood there was a generation 1 of the ACC electronics up to '89, a generation 2 from '90-'94 and a generation 3 from '95 to '98. ACC2 and ACC3 are quite similar with a blend-air temperature sensor as the main new item in ACC3. Thus a '93 or '94 CS will not have the same ACC unit as a '97! http://www.tomorrowstechnician.com/tt/t230332.htm gives a good overview if the text there is true. I have also found data indicating that at lest the Cabin Fan Sensor and the Vent Flap Motor are identical from '90-'98. Thus, with some luck, it might be possible to use an ACC2 electronics unit with the ACC3 sensor/actuator system, althogh with some degraded performances. -- th
