Subject: Blue smoke

Hi. I own a 2000 9-5 2.3t. I recently had the 48,000 mile service, in the course of which the mechanic put some flushing agent through the engine because the 'emissions were too high'. 3,500 miles later the exhaust is still billowing blue-grey smoke on start-up, and occasionally at gear-changes on the road. The [supposedly SAAB specialist] mechanic, who had been around for some time, has been kicked out of his workshop by the landlord so I can't go after him. My guess is he bungled the flushing, and there's still a residue in the system. Is this likely? Can I don anything about it? Could it be far worse? Should I be worried? Should I be worried enough to take it to a dealer? David
