Subject: Broken hazard switch

The hazard switch on my 94 Saab 9000 broke the other day when I tried to activate it. The plastic clip that holds the switch in the dash broke and now I need to fish for the switich in the dash as none of my blinkers work anymore. I wonder if people have successfully repaired the switch by themselves and if so, how? As I understand it, I can try opening the dashboard top or bottom. Is one better than the other? Also, where can I get a good repair manual? I recently purchased the car and I'd rather not have to take it to the shop for repairs already. Much thanks in advance Nagendra
