Some good points there about looking after car etc.. Although the 9-5 autobox is pretty robust, I've been using stage2 on a 2.3 for nearly 3 years, started off with BSR software, but really didn;t like it, and there are some scare stories about it from the US. Using maptun now, much better power delivery imho.
