Subject: saab 900s '96 battery drain

Hi, I own a Saab 900s from 1998 (model '96) which drains the battery in 6 or 7 months. The car functions without problems and doesn't indicate a problem in the battery until one day it doesn't start the engine. I bought it second hand with a 55 amps battery. When the battery became dead, I bought a 72 amps battery hoping it will last more, but it lasted only 7 months. Now I have bought a Bosch battery for it, and Bosch says that the correct one is a 55 amps battery. Now I fear that in a few months the new battery will be dead also, but I also fear to explain this to the Saab Service because electric problems are difficult to find and perhaps they charge a lot for finding the problem and they are nor able to solve it. Did you have this problem with your Saab and find the reason? Thanks in advance and kind regards from Barcelona, Spain, Oscar
