All the dealers here in the UK seem to give you a copper washer along with the oil filter whether you ask for one or not. The first time I changed the oil on my 9-3, the sump-plug came out no problem, but I needed half a pound of Semtex to shift the filter. I don't know which main-dealer gorilla did it up, but he didn't have enough brain power to read the wording on the side! Dealers may well not even touch the sump plug any more. Those things that suck the oil up out of the dipstick tube are getting more and more popular. Cheers, Colin.
