Subject: Re: Best tires for '94 9000 CSE?

I was going to suggest the Triple Treads. I bought the same tire (195/60-15) in January because of their high rating for snow traction, but didn't think my findings would be applicable to your warm weather driving environment. At the time I decided that it wouldn't be cost effective to buy dedicated snow tires and then also have to buy summer tires in a few months for a car this old. They seem to track the grooves a little more than the Michelins I had before (Energy MXV 4), but every other characteristic appears to be improved. I no longer spin the tires on paint stripes when the road is wet. I even seem to be getting about 10% better gas mileage. I think you will be happy with your selection.
