In article <opsp7ik0vzngtaownospam.eastlink.ca>, lamealameadingdongnospamlamelame.org says... > Hey there Skodapilot!! Long time no chat. How's every little thing on your > side of the pond? Good, still Saabless, but spendiung too much money on the GT4/All-trac. Noticed a blow in one of the flexi sections of the exhaust. It was cheaper to buy a bigger bore stainless system than an OEM. > Oh man - I don't care what the purists say - that BMW (aside from being a > brand I don't personally like) is pretty keen looking. I tend not to like a lot of BMW drivers (although that type tend have been priced out of the market and are now driving VW golf TDis now), but that paint is mental. I guess now you now have to prove that you are deliberatley trying to blind another driver. > As to actual coatings, it looks like about $1,500 - $2,000 for the paint > kit to cover a SAAB. Oh I know, I couldn't believe how innexpensive compared to the flip type stuff, but it is the special spraying/flowing equipment that costs. > Wish I could see the machine in the flesh - if my old BSA tank was > anything to go by, you would seriously need to shade the machine in the > sun because it would start collecting heat pretty fast. I would love to take a C900 Carlsson/SPG, give it black bigger wheels, deep tint windows, and the big whale tail rear spoiler (rather than the rubber duck) and have the body fully chrome sprayed. I reckon with just the rubber rear edge of the spoiler and the wiper blades, in black, it would looks so sleak. -- "Sorry Sir, the meatballs are Orf" The poster formerly known as Skodapilot. http://www.bouncing-czechs.com
