Period! Nothing to=20 do with patriotism or objective reporting. Unless you forget the 6(?)=20 "murdered" military policemen. Since when are soldiers ever murdered=20 whilst in action? But it was politically better if they were murdered=20 than killed in action. I am afraid the BBC, most of the time,=20 prostituted itself over the war. That is what the British people wanted = to hear. Instead of arguing the case of the Americans being in favour of the war=20 (as if the British were not ... you might have got a 10-20% difference=20 of opinion) you should be arguing the case against GM and the fact that=20 it is not known in Europe for any brand of car unlike Ford (scratches=20 head to think of other known US car makers who sell in Europe under=20 their own name) Japanese or European car makers. For example do we think of Volvos being made my Ford and being Mondeos? No (Any Volvo owners here?) But we do think of the cheaper Jaguars as being rebranded Mondeos. My problem is I can't think of GM as being an original car manufacturer, = it seems more like a company that buys other companies and uses their=20 brand names. Although I agree with your sentiments about the war, when you have a=20 forum that actually unites people of different nationalities because=20 they have a common interest you are better off leaving politics out of=20 it (or attempts to poke them in the eye). To generalise like you, since when do the British learn foreign=20 languages? Doesn't all the world speak English? Isn't Macdonald's=20 operating in Spain just to cater for the British tourists who can't=20 stand foreign food :-P ;-) Charles --=20 Please remove _removeme_ to reply.
