I agree with you - Saabnet is it's own entity just as much as the forums I run and the website they're associated with are my own entity. I just don't 'censor' posts like the saabnet admin does, but I don't have commercial sponsors/advertisers to the focus is different. Very different apparently. What I object to is that Saabnet is totally blocking all access to the saabnet.com website - the entire site including the home page! Not just the bulletin boards (which many people are blocked from posting in - not just me), or the tech library material on the saabnet site. Blocking access to the entire site is where I've drawn the line and the reason I posted messages about it here (in the two newsgroups), and on some other web-forum sites. I can't determine if saabnet's admin has blocked just the IP address of the web proxy server I use, the entire class-C IP block my subnet is part of, or something bigger. Anyway, if you want to read the thread in my web-forums, you can go to: http://www.nospam.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=59 One other member of the forums posted the direct link to the nospam.co.uk forum posting which appears to have been silently deleted. 8-) The SCCA webmaster deleted it from those forums too but he at least took the time to email me privately about it and explained the club's (or his) viewpoint. So that's fine with me.
