Michael, This is a SAAB part, NOT 3rd party at all. It's just not STANDARD. It's an accessory. I power my MP3 player via batteries, and not via power unfortunately. But I believe with you IPOD, you can power through the cigarette lighter (via an adapter). Yes that has power. Next to it with that square cover, is where the adapter fits nicely into. Again, this is NOT 3rd party, it is a SAAB part. Check with your dealer.
