Subject: Re: How do I remove the rear roof rack?

I am assuming the 1995 900 SE coupe is not much different from the 1994 900 SE. The factory roof racks fit the same on the front and back. There are two holes in the roof where the two lugs on the base of the roof rack go in. You have to pull the rubber seal back to see these. You tighten or loosen the fit the rack by turning the knob at the end of the roof rack. Installing and removing this type of roof rack does result in deforming and/or damage to the rubber seal, but that is the price of not having a real rain gutter. The Classic 900 has a real rain gutter and the factory and after market roof racks clamp on the rain gutter. I suppose the rain gutter does not look a smooth and may result in a lower gas mileage, but my Classic gets better gas mileage (and more power) than the NG 900.
