Subject: Volkswagen false advertising (safety-related)

Why doesn't the Saab 9-3 get more advertising coverage for its Gold award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS)? This really bugs me. I see an ad on TV for the VW Jetta and they finish by saying something like (as I remember it) "and isn't it comforting to know that the Jetta received the HIGHEST POSSIBLE crash test ratings as reported by the IIHS." Well, I go the the IIHS web site and find that the Jetta only gets an ACCEPTABLE rear crash test rating. How many people incorrectly think that the Jetta scored higher than all other makes (with their Silver award)? A lot I'll bet. The Saab really did get the highest possible rating, but practically nobody knows.
