Thanks everyone! I actually think I'd enjoy learning how to do some
of the maintenance myself... not too fluent in this sort of thing right
now, but I do know my way around other quirky mechanical things (in my
case, vintage guitar amplifiers) and am a quick study.
I don't want to break any newsgroup ettiquette, so I apologize in
advance, but wondering what would be a fair price for something like
I'm considering... 1990 c900 SPG... 118K miles, but having a
transmission rebuilt and the entire vehicle gone over by qualified indy
mechanic... Bluebook/Edmunds is fairly low for this model... like
under $3,000 or so (I believe). But considering its "mechanical
makeover," should I expect to pay some more for something like this? I
want to be fair, but don't want to completely overpay either.
