Subject: Re: Changing a headlight for a saab
i too am more of a computer person than a car person. on my NG900SE, i
decided it would be a good idea to put in some silverstar bulbs. my
foglights were burnt out, as well as my rear fog lights (come on,
really...) so i did all my external lights at once. not as easy as you
would think... i had the majority of the front end off to do the
headlights and foglamps. changing the oil is nothing in a saab, but
light bulbs? forget it...
make sure, when removing the saab electrical connectors, to start by
pushing on the back end of the red (or black in some cases) tab. this
way you will avoid breaking the small locking tab. once the red tab is
"unlocked" the connector will start to slide out. while it is sliding,
the tab will continue to move to the side. BE CAREFUL! replacement
connectors run more than $10 EACH. (i know from experience...)
