I'm not sure how to specify the filter size. 8-) But I do know that the casing of the standard oil filter that Saab used until recently (the blue one) is 74 mm diameter with 15 flats. If you have a spare oil filter you could take it to a mechanic's workshop and use their tools to work out the thread diameter. The exact same oil filter is used from the Saab 99's right through to most (but not all) of the post-GM-takeover models including the 9-5's. How's that for a versatile part! The old-style blue filters are Saab # 9144445. I don't know what the part number for the new black-coloured one is. There are some places on Ebay selling sender adaptors too which I think are just like the ones you included links for.
