2 yrs ago I had my Fuel Pump replaced By a saab Dealer. After driving the car home I could see fuel leaking in and around my trunk area. To make a long story short I went back to the dealer and they had to fix the gasket they had put in wrong to stop the leak. That was 2 yrs ago and I can still smell some gas ordor from the trunk area. So it is possible that some gas did leak during your repair Good luck papa
