I just had my turbo replaced and I've been told that my cylinder head gasket probably suffered under that problem too, and probably is next to brake. 1=B0 Is there an actual connection between a broken turbo and damage to the cylinder head gasket? 2=B0 Should the cylinder head gasket give up, should it be replaced with a reinforced one and if so, are there any disadvantages to those? 3=B0 Is it true that, when you've just been racing your car and on arrival, engine shut down, the turbo is still spinning and getting no oil? Could this have been the reason why I've had my turbo failure? 4=B0 Could I just let my car run for a minute while standing still, befor I shut it down, would that be sufficient to save my turbo? The car in question is a Saab 9-5SE 1998 Thanks for your reactions, I will read them with all my attention. Please excuse my English, I've had to translate this from Dutch as I am Belgian. Ik heb zojuist mijn turbo moeten laten vervangen en heb me laten wijsmaken dat mijn cilinderkoppakking waarschijnlijk heeft geleden onder dat probleem, dat die het zelfs ook binnenkort zal begeven. Is er effectief een verband tussen een kapotte turbo en de cilinderkoppakking? Is het nodig om een versterkte cilinderkoppakking te installeren mocht de huidige het begeven en zijn daar nadelen aan verbonden? Is het ook zo dat, wanneer je net hard gereden hebt en bij aankomst direct de motor af zet, de turbo nog verder draait maar geen olie krijgt waardoor hij kapot gaat? Kan ik dat tegengaan door de wagen een minuutje stationair te laten draaien voor ik hem af zet? Het gaat hier over een Saab 9-5SE 1998. Danku voor uw reactie, ik zal ze met al m'n aandacht lezen.
