Subject: Re: Saab noise problems

I just had my 99 9-5's engine rebuilt after a piston cracked. Long before piston gave out, i too had a low rumble. I didn't know what it was. The mech discovered that the gears on the balancing shafts were missing several of the teeth. This caused the rods to be "less than effective". Now that those are replaced and functioning properly, the engine is much smoother. Ryan jonny.whitingnospamorld.com wrote: > Hello > > Is ther anyone out ther who can help. I have a 1998 Saab 9-5.
